Dr. Mellina Delgado
Dr. Mellina Delgado was raised in the Rio Grande Valley and is a graduate from PSJA high school class of 2007. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from UTPA in 2011 and got her dental degree from UT Health Science Center San Antonio in 2015.Â
After graduation Dr. Delgado completed a one-year AEGD program in Memphis, Tennessee.Â
Dr. Delgado lived and worked in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Austin, Texas, and is happy to be back working and living in her hometown of Pharr, Texas.Â
When she’s not practicing dentistry Dr. Delgado enjoys traveling, and spending time with family and her dog, Mr. Bear.

Dr. Whitney Wong Huynh
Dr. Whitney Wong Huynh was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and raised in Houston, Texas. She majored in Biomedical Science and minored in Business at Texas A&M University while volunteering as Treasurer of the Pre-Dental Society. She received her masters in Biomedical Science at University of North Texas Health Science Center while refounding the school’s Pre-Dental Society as Vice-President. She continued her habit of service in dental school as President of the Xi Psi Phi Fraternity (Alpha Psi Dental Chapter) and as Secretary of the Pride-N-Practice Club. She attended The University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at Houston.
She occasionally volunteers her professional services through Global Dental Brigades and Texas Mission of Mercy, both organizations that provide free dental care to those in need. She strives to be a provider and mentor that can create a comfortable and safe space for everyone and would treat each patient as if they were her own family. Dr. Huynh believes that treating oral health leads to an improvement in overall health and is committed to bringing high quality, empathetic, and personalized care to her patients.
Outside of dentistry, she has numerous hobbies. She enjoys staying active through yoga, pilates, and cycling classes, feeding her inner creativity with baking, and improving her art through painting, pottery, and scrapbooking.

Dr. Javier De La Garza
Dr. Javier De La Garza was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. One thing he is most proud of, after making beautiful smiles, is graduating with the Mighty Donna Redskins Class of 1995. He was selected by Marquette Dental School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin after only attending UT-RGV for three years. A very rare and prestigious accomplishment. He graduated dental school in 2003.
He returned to the Valley where he has been practicing for over 20 years. Dr. De La Garza and his staff attend continuing education every year and stay on top of the latest advancements in dentistry. He is well regarded by his colleagues and works with multiple specialists to provide excellence for his patients. His office has been voted Best Dental Clinic by the community year after year.
He married his college sweetheart Vicky Padilla (Weslaco Panther Class of 1994) in 1999. They have two children Ben and Gaby, both are studying at the University of Texas in Austin. In his spare time Dr. De La Garza enjoys following all things UT Austin! He tries to attend every home game. He is an active member at Calvary Church in McAllen. In his 20 years back in the Valley he has served countless roles in different community organizations and boards, including Scout Master in Boy Scouts of America Troop 2022, Presidential Volunteer Service Award Certifying Organization under President Trump and President Biden, and most recently appointed by the City of McAllen to an advisory role.
